Care Ministries

Ways Christ UMC is taking care of those in need.

If you're interested in assisting with any of these ministries, please contact Carol Yarian (carol@christumchurch.org)
Foster Friends

This group meets the 3rd Monday of each month at Christ UMC to send cards to people connected to our church. Cards of encouragement, celebration, and prayers reminds them they are loved and cared for by our congregation.

Prayer Chain

Christ UMC is dedicated to caring for each other through prayer. Our prayer chain is an email sent to all those who wish to be updated with prayer requests from our church family. If you have a prayer request for yourself, a friend, or a family member, or you would like to receive the prayer chain email updates, please send a message to prayers@christumchurch.org or contact the church office.

Visitation

Our pastors as well as the volunteers for this ministry visit those in our congregation and/or their families at the hospital or at home. Our hope is to bring encouragement and blessings to those we visit.

Caregiver Support Group

We are a group of individuals from Christ United Methodist Church who have been or currently are caregivers. This strong connection and commitment has guided us through this journey of developing the Caregivers Support Group (CGSG). The purpose of CGSG is to provide a place to confidentially share experiences, give support, learn through videos and/or speakers, as well as
assist with seeking resources for our Christ UMC family and community.

The Caregiver Support Group meets the first Thursday of each month from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Pastor’s Study.
