Greeters are one of the first impressions that people have when entering Christ UMC. We have the unique opportunity to make everyone feel welcome whether it is their first time joining us, or if they have been coming for 50 years. Join our greeter team as we welcome ALL to Christ UMC so that they may experience acceptance, grace, authentic relationships, and God’s love.
Christ UMC serves Communion on the first Sunday of each month. This group sets up for Communion and helps to serve. Holy Communion is the meal of bread and drink shared by the family of Christ. Holy Communion is one of two sacraments the United Methodist Church recognizes. Sacraments connect us to God’s love and grace and nourishes us on our journey of faith.
Our children’s ministry, Kids for Christ, is always looking for people who can help lead the Sunday School class. Lessons are prepared beforehand so you just need to lead the children through their activities.
This volunteer opportunity is for anyone older than 13. If a leader is under 18, they will be paired with an adult for support.
Classes meet during the 10:45 AM service. Volunteers can work as often as they would want!
Christ UMC’s nursery is open from 8:15 AM-Noon. Nursery workers help with children newborn through Pre-K.
If you would like to learn how to help produce our service for our online community, Tech Ministry is for you! No prior technology knowledge or skill needed to help! We will make sure you are trained so that until you feel ready, someone will be there to help!
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.
