Christ United Methodist administrative committees provide team leadership and advisory oversight for the various areas of the church’s operations, helping to ensure fiscal and operational health. Each of these committees is prescribed by The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church. Committees are comprised of elected laity and staff. Committee members are nominated each fall (by the Lay Leadership Committee) and the slate of nominees for each committee is presented for vote at the annual church charge conference, usually held in early- to mid-December.
The Church Council is the executive committee of the church, providing long-range strategic leadership, working in tandem with CUMC’s other administrative committees.
