MOSH (Youth Ministry) Kick-Off
COME CELEBRATE THE ENDING OF A GREAT SUMMERAND TO KICKOFF THIS SCHOOL YEAR OF YOUTH MINISTRY!
When: Sunday the 24th, 3-6pm
Who: all 6th-12th graders
Where: Aaron Slagel’s home

What’s gonna happen there:
Food – we will supply hot dogs, hamburgers & all the fixin’s. Girls bring drinks, guys bring a side dish or a snack to share
Fun – Canoeing, swimming, bonfire, the craziest game of slip and slide kickball you’ve ever experienced!
Friends – hanging out with old friends and making new ones! INVITE AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS!!!
CONCERT

CHURCH PICNIC
Sunday, Sept. 7, starting at 1 PM at Happy Hollow Park in West Lafayette. Mark your calendars for an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship with our church family and friends. Meat, beverages, and table service will be provided. Please plan to bring a dish to share and your extra recreational equipment.
BOOKS
Used books are being accepted for the Annual Book Sale at the Chicken Noodle Supper we will hold in October. Books may be placed in room 6. If you have questions call Betty Purcell at 474-3518.
CHICKEN NOODLE DINNER

Dinner: 4:30 - 7:00 pm
The annual Chicken Noodle Dinner is fast approaching! In order for the dinner to be a success we need your help. If you can help in any of the following ways please fill out the form below or contact Deb Thinnes at 477-1838.
MEN’S GROUP
The men's group is an open gathering of men for fellowship. Everyone is welcome! The group meets at the church every Friday morning at 6:30 am in Room 7. You can enter through the office door.
DINNERS FOR EIGHT
It’s that time again! Time to sign up for Dinners for Eight. Dinners for Eight is a gathering of people to fellowship and share food either at each other’s homes, restaurant, park, etc. This small group program has been a tremendous tool to in-teract, get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ, build friendships, and has the bonus of involving food. ALL individuals/couples who are interested should email Sue Branson at peteandsuz@verizon.net. These groups will meet September through December. This is a LOT of fun, a great way to make new friends and enjoy current ones... and GREAT eating!
LIFE GROUPS
Life Groups consist of 7 to 12 persons who meet regularly for fellowship, sharing, scripture reading, accountability and support. The goal is to find a place for people to become connected to one another and the church and to receive encouragement in their spiritual journey. We are always accepting new people into Life Groups. PAINTERS NEEDED!
Have you ever thought to yourself – hmmm…I wish I could serve this church in a differ-ent way other than teaching Sunday School, greeting or singing in the band? Well do we have the opportunity for you! We are updating the paint in the youth room! If you would like to lend a hand and paint a wall or two please contact Heather Kill, 302-690-9299 or 474-4313 or heather@christumchurch.org
GOD WANTS YOU!
Do you like to have fun, love Jesus, like teenagers and want to see them grow and mature into young men and women who are in love with Jesus. Then the youth ministry is looking for you. The youth ministry is looking for more caring and fun loving adults who would like to work with, love on and be a leader in the youth ministry. CHURCH PHONE SYSTEM
We would like our church congrega-tion to know about our phone system. When you call the church during the day and the answering machine comes on, it does not mean we are not here. We may be on another line or in a meeting, or somewhere else in the church. We want to talk with you, so please leave a message and we will get back to you asap.
NEW PHOTO DIRECTORY
Our church will be producing a new pictorial directory. Please plan to have your picture taken, More infor-mation will be given to you in the next few weeks. Picture date sign-up will begin in late September and pictures will be taken the beginning of November. Mark your calendars!
